Kaskaid Hospitality Restaurants Join Taste of the Vikings

Giving back to the community is at the root of the Kaskaid Hospitality mission and this year we were fortunate for three of our Minneapolis restaurant to partake in the Taste of the Minnesota Vikings, an events that benefits a great local organization. Over one thousand people came out to meet Minnesota Vikings players and coaches at the annual Taste of the Vikings event on November 4, 2014 at The Depot in Minneapolis.The Workshop at UNION, BLVD Kitchen, and BoneYard Kitchen & Bar each served over a thousand samples of tasty signature dishes with the help of a few Vikings.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Vikings Children’s Fund Summer Lunch Program through Second Harvest Heartland. The program provides children with meals throughout the summer when school is not in session.

Attendees mingled with Vikings coaches and players while sampling food and wine from over twenty Twin Cities restaurants. The strolling food and wine event also featured exciting silent auction items and an opportunity to get autographs and pictures with the team.

Chef Jason Bush served a tasty BoneYard favorite: The Poached Pear Salad.

BLVD Chef Chris Oxley served mouth-watering  beef medallions with creamy mashed potatoes. 

Workshop at UNION Chef/ Kaskaid Hospitality’s Culinary Director, Chef Stewart Woodman, served a new dish at the Workshop: a Yuzu Puff. This dish not only was a hit with the guests, but the panel of judges voted it this year’s Taste of the Vikings Best Dish! 

 

We had a great time once again being part of the Taste of the Vikings and look forward to our continued partners with Minnesota Vikings!
